Talia Israeli was Born in Jerusalem in 1976, and graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design with a Bachelors in Fine Art with honors in 2002. While attending Bezalel, two semesters were spent at The Glasgow School of Art, and upon graduating she received two awards: The Elchanani Achievement from Bezalel, and the Sharet Award from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. After Bezalel, Talia received an MFA from Goldsmiths University of London, graduating in 2004.
Talia currently works from her Tel-Aviv studio. In her paintings,
urban landscapes are
used to highlight contemporary social and psychological issues,
and the structures and
concepts of her works are heavily informed by photography and
digital imagery.
