Manuel Cerezuela

Originally from Cartagena, Manuel Cerezuela Martinez, a painter and a print-maker, is now based in Valencia where he is studying Fine Art. Inspired by the city, his work depicts a series of elements in various states of transformation similar to the progression of an urban landscape. Constantly changing forms, it adapts to its environment and follows new conceptual orders. Everything fits like a puzzle of fragmented structures and expresses today’s social interactions. His work is a representation of how political divisions fragment the urban world into ghettos and residential quarters, barrios and business centers.
